Attacks on Christians in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt
January 10th 2011 00:56
Not since the days of the Crusader Wars have Christians faced such targeted aggression from Muslim extremism. The Muslims who fought in the Crusades were sword wielding warriors, as were the Christian Templar knights. However, it could be argued that anyone who fights and dies for a cause is an extremist in the base sense of the word, whether they’re from the 12th or the 21st Century, with sword or with bomb.
In the 'Has the Time Come' post, MW speaks of bible prophesy, in particular the Destruction of the Temple prophesy, and the term Jesus uses: 'the beginning of sorrows.' (Matt.Ch.24:8). Given the current state of aggression against Christians, the verse that follows comes into its own particular relevance:
'Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.' (Matt.Ch.24:9)
Yes, this could apply to the 12th Century, for Christians were certainly afflicted and killed. Except for one qualifying statement, verse 12:
'And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.'
Never before in the history of mankind has iniquity abound so, whether it is the breakdown of morality in modern society, the proliferation of violence and crime, or the Internet with its on-tap global pornography and hate sites, or all three. The evidence is undeniable.
As spoken of in 'Has the Time Come', there is a 21st Century convergence of three prophesies regarding what could be broadly termed as 'The End Times': Jesus, Nostradamus, and the Mayans.
This post highlights but one of many events that show a link between prophesies and time. There will be more.
