Israel and Armageddon---Troubling Signs

For Israel to exist is "the greatest insult to human dignity". A comment made by Iranian president Ahmadinejad at a pro-Palestinian rally last Friday. He went on to say that "the world knows the US and Britain are enemies of the Iranian nation." And that " Europe must distance itself from Israel at once. That is Iran's ultimatum."
For those that study history will know the enmity between Jews and Moslems has been going on for thousands of years, the 20th Century catalyst being the creation of the Jewish State after WWII. These recent threats however, see the stakes raised to a whole new level. As reported on MW in the 'End Times' article, there are many signs, most highly symbolic, that could be interpreted as the advent of Armageddon, the final battle between the forces of good and evil. However, even the most ardent sceptic cannot deny the accuracy of the following:
The Expeditionary Strike Force led by the US carrier Iwo Jima has recently joined other American naval, air, and marine might piling up opposite Iran's shores/ "Ships of the Western coastlands will oppose him, and he will lose heart. Then he will turn and vent his fury against the holy covenant" (Israel).
