The Secret — What Secret?
June 23rd 2007 04:54
Call it the law of attraction, positive affirmation, self-empowerment, karma, single-mindedness, or pursuing your dreams, the so-called ‘Secret’ has been around since humankind realised the power of their own mind.
Then why don’t we all have this ability to attract success into our lives, to create a reality that is everything we ever wanted or dreamed of from life? Well, apparently we can. However, the catch is—and there’s always a catch—unless we were raised in an insulated world free from negative influence, by parents who administered balanced doses of love, positive parenting, and discipline, then we are going to have to work for it. And in most cases, damn hard.
No doubt, the human mind is incredible piece of work, the lives of great men and women throughout history prime examples of its manifest power. The ancient philosophers like Aristotle and Plato, teachers like Jesus and Budda, rulers like Alexander, Cleopatra and Ghengis Khan, even entrepreneurs like Rockafellar, Gates, and our own Murdoch and Packer. The one thing we find that all over-achievers have in common is strength of mind: that clarity of purpose, the ability to seize opportunity and overcome obstacles, an unwavering pursuit of the end goal.
The problem is that for many ordinary folk, we struggle just to achieve, let alone any overs. Sure, the end-goal is in sight, but the baggage from the past keeps dragging us down, holding us back. It may be sexual abuse, destructive behavioural habits, addictions; all are obstacles on the path to fulfilment, whether that is happiness, success, or enlightenment. The question is how do we overcome these obstacles. Well, the same way those illustrious aforementioned and countless ordinary men and women who have attained success before us overcame obstacles—hard work, determination, and persistence. It’s no secret.

Love is the glue that binds everything, in every direction, dimension and time together. Master it and nothing is impossible.
Those who understand it have used it's great power for what we perceive as good and evil.
You've pulled this secret from its hiding place and exposed it to the world; now what?
